I grew up in Northern Canada, the youngest of two brothers and three boy cousins. In street hockey I was always the goalie, in Jackpot I was always the outfielder, and in “deer hunter” I was always the (you guessed it) deer. I learned early that if you can’t control the game, you find creative ways to play it—which is probably how I ended up in this line of work.
After years of competitive ice hockey, I studied Creative Writing at the University of Victoria and earned an M.S. in Advertising at Boston University. When I’m not flipping through vinyl or obsessing over wiener dogs, I’m usually bulking up my Goodreads profile with classic literature. Probably reading about some girl with a chip on her shoulder.
